Italian-born jazz guitarist Pasquale Grasso is renowned for his pianistic approach to jazz guitar, translating bebop pioneers like Bud Powell and Charlie Parker onto the instrument through a combination of classical training and modern technique. Based in New York City since 2012, he has performed with leading jazz musicians and was named a U.S. State Department Jazz Ambassador. Winner of the 2015 Wes Montgomery International Jazz Guitar Competition, Grasso is praised by Pat Metheny as among the finest guitarists of his generation.
