Mikiya Matsuda is a San Francisco-based steel guitarist and string bassist who leads The Alcatraz Islanders, a swing-era Hawaiian jazz group, and is an active sideman in the Bay Area's traditional jazz scene. He has performed with numerous western swing, jazz, and Hawaiian artists across the US and teaches music privately and at workshops.
