Michael Kanan

Michael Kanan is a Boston-born jazz pianist known for his deep command of swing, stride, and bebop traditions. He established himself in New York playing and recording with Kurt Rosenwinkel and Mark Turner, and gained prominence as the long-time pianist and arranger for vocalist Jane Monheit, with whom he has toured internationally and made numerous recordings and television appearances.
