Marco Diaz

Marco Diaz is a San Francisco-based pianist and trumpeter specializing in Latin jazz and Afro-Cuban music. Formally trained in both instruments from age 14, he is an accomplished composer and recording musician who has performed with Grammy Award winner Israel 'Cachao' Lopez and is an integral member of John Santos' sextet. He teaches at the Community Music Center and SFJazz, and has performed at major festivals including San Francisco, Monterey, and Tanglewood.
