Saxophonist and composer James Mahone is an active performer and instructor with nearly 30 years of experience. He studied at California State University Northridge and The New School, and was a member of the acclaimed jazz quintet Black Note (Columbia/GRP-Impulse), performing extensively throughout the US, Europe, and Japan before relocating to the Bay Area.
