Eli Howell is a Los Angeles-born trombonist, composer, and educator who earned his Master's degree from Michigan State University in 2025 as a graduate assistant to Guggenheim Fellow Michael Dease. A two-time finalist at the International Trombone Festival and American Trombone Workshop jazz competitions, he released his debut album 'Steps Taken' in 2026 featuring an all-star lineup including Brian Lynch, Sharel Cassity, and Wycliffe Gordon.
