Amina Claudine Myers is an Arkansas-born pianist, organist, vocalist, composer, and arranger who gained prominence in Chicago and New York beginning in the 1970s as a founding member of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians (AACM). Her extensive career spans jazz, gospel, choral/orchestral music, and theater, with numerous recordings and large-scale compositions to her credit.
